India · Thickness guide
Choose loft by feel, not only by number.
A thicker shikibuton is not automatically better for every sleeper. The right choice depends on support, cushioning, body preference, and how the room is used by day.
HIMARI
Approx. 10 cm for balanced everyday support.
HIMARI uses wool-blend layers over a firm support core. It has a composed, medium-firm feel and folds for daily airing.
SORA
Approx. 12 cm for more depth under the body.
SORA uses a 50% wool blend and a deeper profile. It suits side sleepers and sleepers used to a Western mattress while keeping the fold-away rhythm of a shikibuton.
Is SORA softer than HIMARI?
SORA has a fuller balanced medium feel. HIMARI is firmer and more compact, with steady everyday support.
Does thicker mean easier to store?
No. More loft can mean a larger folded profile. Check both laid-flat size and folded size before ordering.
