Deeper Japanese shikibuton · Made in Japan Since 1873
We built SORA for customers outside Japan who want more depth under the body. It keeps HIMARI's firm core and fold-away form, then adds about 2 cm of loft and a 50% wool blend.
Current specification update
With the current specification update, SORA uses calm grey piping around the ivory cotton exterior.
Calm grey piping around all four edges gives the ivory cotton surface a more composed, contemporary outline.
The filling combines 50% wool with 50% polyester fibre for warmth, breathability, and resilient comfort, while the foldable form remains easy to air and store.

For your room
Lay it over clean, dry tatami for the most traditional Japanese setting.
Use a breathable moisture-control layer beneath it and air both regularly.
Lay it out at night, then fold it away to return the room to daytime use.
Create a full sleep surface without committing the room to a permanent bed frame.
Everyday care
01
Use a dry, breathable base and prevent moisture from remaining under the shikibuton.
02
Fold or raise it regularly and air both surfaces in suitable weather.
03
Rotate and turn it periodically to distribute normal pressure and settling.
