Japanese futon sizes: measure first, then check your country
A local bed name is only a starting point. HIMARI is 210 cm long and SORA is 200 cm long; the offered widths vary by market. This guide brings the actual destination-specific dimensions together so that you can compare them with the supporting surface you own.

Are Japanese futon sizes the same as local mattress sizes?
No. Use the centimeter dimensions rather than local labels such as Twin, Double or Queen. HIMARI is made in 210 × 100, 210 × 120 and 210 × 140 cm sizes; SORA in 200 × 100 and 200 × 140 cm sizes. Measure the supporting surface and check the sizes offered for your country.
Three measurements to take before ordering
- Measure the usable length and width of the floor, platform or bed support. For a frame, measure the supporting area inside it rather than the outside frame dimensions.
- Compare both dimensions with the selected futon. Do not equate Single, Twin, Double or Queen labels across countries. A 210 cm model and a 200 cm model need different lengths.
- Allow space to lift, fold and air the bedding. Check that the base is firm, level and suitable; for a slatted frame, follow the product's placement instructions rather than assuming every frame is compatible.

Which price, delivery and return policy applies to me?
Choose your delivery country below. The local product page shows its currency and available sizes; its Terms page explains delivery, import charges and returns. Confirm the current price and availability in the official shop before paying. A price or return condition for another country should not be treated as yours.
A worked example using the published dimensions
Measure the usable length and width of the floor, platform or bed base, including any raised edges. Compare those measurements with the exact model and size offered for your country. Then check the folded size and weight, and choose a sheet or cover that fits the same dimensions.
For a support area measuring 200 × 100 cm, a 210 × 100 cm HIMARI is 10 cm longer. A 200 × 100 cm SORA has the same nominal footprint. This is a comparison of published dimensions, not a fit guarantee: the whole shikibuton needs suitable support, and soft bedding can show normal dimensional variation.
