1. Separate business roles

OFUTON KOBO CO., LTD. is the brand company and manufacturer of the products. KAWAGUCHISEIKEN CO., LTD. is a separate legal entity that operates this international website and acts as the international seller and merchant responsible for payment collection, order management, customer service, returns, and refunds.

2. Website information

This site provides product, brand, culture, sizing, and care information. Prices shown here are taken from the official Shopify store for Vietnam; the price, taxes, and total confirmed at checkout before payment are authoritative.

3. Orders and availability

An order is placed only through Shopify and is subject to inventory, payment authorization, fraud screening, delivery availability, and acceptance by the seller. Items placed in a cart are not reserved until the store confirms the order.

4. Price, shipping, duties, and taxes

Prices are shown in VND. Shipping to Vietnam is included in the price. Any import duties or taxes charged on arrival are paid by the recipient. If you are charged, we contribute ₫450,000 towards it — that is the amount we refund, set for this market and reviewed with the price list. Email info@ofutonkobo.com the customs or carrier receipt with your order number within 60 days of delivery. It is a fixed contribution, not an estimate of the charge, and anything above it is paid by you.

Dispatched from Japan by Japan Post EMS within 2 business days of your order. Delivery usually takes 7–10 business days after dispatch. That is Japan Post's standard for this destination, counted from dispatch rather than from your order; it is an estimate, not a guaranteed date, and customs clearance can add to it.

5. Product dimensions and normal variation

Centimetre dimensions are the primary product measurements and inch values are approximate references. Soft fibre products may show normal variation in loft, dimensions, weight, compression, and appearance due to measurement method, humidity, production lot, packing, and use.

6. Care and intended use

Use the shikibuton on a firm, level, clean, and suitably ventilated surface. Follow the care information for moisture, airing, rotation, covers, spills, and cleaning. The products are household bedding, not medical devices, and no site content is medical advice.

7. Returns, damage, and incorrect items

If an item arrives damaged, defective or incorrect, we cover the return shipping and put it right with a replacement or refund.

Unopened means the original kraft paper bag sealed at the workshop in Japan has not been opened. If it is still sealed, write to us within 7 days of delivery and we will arrange the return; you then have 14 days to send it back, and return shipping to Japan for a non-quality return is paid by the buyer.

Because a shikibuton is personal bedding, each one is shipped in hygiene-sealed packaging. Once it has been opened, we cannot accept a change-of-mind return, a comfort-preference exchange or a size change, and we do not offer sleep trials.

If an item arrives damaged, defective, incorrect, or not as described, contact customer service promptly with the order number, packaging photographs, and product photographs. Mandatory consumer rights that apply in Vietnam are not excluded.

8. Intellectual property

Brand names, logos, product names, photographs, video, text, design, and other materials remain protected by their respective rights. No right to reproduce, redistribute, adapt, scrape in bulk, or use the materials commercially is granted except where applicable law permits or written permission is provided.

9. Changes and accuracy

We may correct errors and update product or policy information. A material change to an accepted order will be handled through the order process rather than silently changing the agreement after purchase.
