One store, and who is behind it
OFUTON KOBO Co., Ltd. makes every shikibuton in its own workshop in Oyama, Tochigi. KAWAGUCHISEIKEN CO., LTD. operates this website and the international store, and is the seller and merchant of record for international orders: payment, order management, customer service, returns and refunds. They are two separate companies, and it is worth knowing which one you are dealing with when you write to us.

What the price includes, and what it does not
Reference prices in EUR follow the French price list. Check the available delivery options, delivery cost, currency and final total at checkout for your address in Latvia. Import taxes, duties and clearance fees not collected at checkout are payable by the recipient.
Enter the recipient name and address exactly as the carrier will need them. Incorrect details can fail customs clearance and send the parcel back to Japan, and the postage for a return that is not our fault is paid by the buyer.
Before you order
- Measure the floor, platform or frame in centimetres and compare it with the model dimensions; a similar local size name does not guarantee a matching length and width.
- Check which widths reach your country: Australia receives the 100 cm width only, which is a shipping limit rather than a product one.
- Compare the model and exact dimensions before ordering. For cancellation, returns or a concern about size or feel, consult the Terms of Sale for Latvia and email info@ofutonkobo.com for individual instructions. Opening ordinary transport packaging does not by itself remove applicable consumer rights.
