Dispatched from Japan by Japan Post EMS where available for your address. Confirm shipping, cost and any estimated delivery date at checkout. Customs clearance and carrier operations may extend delivery.
Import VAT, duty and clearance fees not collected at checkout are paid by the recipient. We do not promise a fixed contribution towards these charges for Slovakia.
You may cancel your order within 14 days of receiving it, even if the packaging has been opened. Return shipping to Japan is paid by you, and we may deduct for any loss in value from use beyond what is needed to inspect the product.
One store, and who is behind it
OFUTON KOBO Co., Ltd. makes every shikibuton in its own workshop in Oyama, Tochigi. KAWAGUCHISEIKEN CO., LTD. operates this website and the international store, and is the seller and merchant of record for international orders: payment, order management, customer service, returns and refunds. They are two separate companies, and it is worth knowing which one you are dealing with when you write to us.

What the price includes, and what it does not
Confirm shipping and the amount collected at checkout. Import VAT, duty and clearance fees not collected at checkout are paid by the recipient. These depend on applicable rules and the carrier; we do not promise a fixed amount, exemption or contribution for Slovakia.
Enter the recipient name and address accurately. Incorrect details can delay customs clearance or return a parcel to Japan; any costs are assessed under the Terms of Sale and applicable legal rights.
Before you order
- Measure the floor, platform or frame in centimetres and compare it with the model dimensions; a similar local size name does not guarantee a matching length and width.
- Check which widths reach your country: Australia receives the 100 cm width only, which is a shipping limit rather than a product one.
- Compare the models and exact centimetre dimensions before ordering. For withdrawal, a return or a problem with your order, read the Slovak Terms of Sale and email info@ofutonkobo.com for individual instructions. Opening ordinary transport packaging does not by itself remove applicable consumer rights.
