Returns
To withdraw, send a clear statement to info@ofutonkobo.com within the applicable period. We will provide the return procedure and dispatch instructions individually by email. All mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected.
Return postage to Japan is paid by you where permitted under applicable rules. A shikibuton weighs approximately 5–8 kg, so international return postage can be significant; contact us for an estimate before ordering if this matters to you.
You may inspect the product as you would in a shop. Where permitted by applicable rules, we may deduct for diminished value caused by handling beyond what is necessary to inspect it, such as sleeping on or soiling it.
Refunds are processed within the period required by applicable law. We may withhold a refund until we receive the returned goods or evidence of dispatch, whichever comes first. Refundable original delivery charges and any lawful deduction for diminished value are handled under applicable consumer rules. Mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected.
If an item arrives damaged, defective or incorrect, we cover the return shipping and put it right with a replacement or refund.
Each shikibuton is compressed and shipped in hygiene-sealed packaging. Please check the size and the visible condition of the package before opening it, and keep the outer carton until you are sure you will keep the product.
