How are returns and exchanges handled?

See your delivery country’s Terms of Sale for returns, damaged or incorrect items, and any applicable cancellation rights.

Delivery to Greece

Dispatched from Japan by Japan Post EMS. Check current delivery options and estimates at checkout. Delivery estimates are not guaranteed dates, and customs clearance may take longer.

Check delivery options and charges for Greece at checkout. Any import duties or taxes charged on arrival are paid by the recipient. Import charges not collected at checkout are paid by the recipient. No fixed contribution towards import charges is promised for Greece.

Returns

You may cancel your order within 14 days of receiving it, even if the packaging has been opened. To cancel, tell us by email at info@ofutonkobo.com within those 14 days; a clear statement is enough. Then send the item back to us in Japan within 14 days of telling us.

The cost of returning the item to Japan is paid by you. A shikibuton weighs approximately 5–8 kg, so international return postage can be significant; contact us for an estimate before you order if this matters to you.

You may inspect the product as you would in a shop. If it has been used beyond that (for example, slept on or soiled), we may deduct an amount that reflects the loss in value.

Refunds are processed within the period required by applicable law. We may withhold a refund until we receive the returned goods or evidence of dispatch, whichever comes first. Refundable original delivery charges and any lawful deduction for diminished value are handled under applicable consumer rules. Mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected.

If an item arrives damaged, defective or incorrect, we cover the return shipping and put it right with a replacement or refund.

Each shikibuton is compressed and shipped in hygiene-sealed packaging. Please check the size and the visible condition of the package before opening it, and keep the outer carton until you are sure you will keep the product.
